Supporting ChaseHealth's New Adult Day Center

The Preferred Mutual Foundation, the corporate-giving arm of Preferred Mutual Insurance Company, recently donated $5,000 to ChaseHealth Rehab & Residential Care. The funds will be used towards the development of their new Social Adult Day Center.
Expected to open this summer, ChaseHealth's Social Adult Day Center will be open to the public. Community members will be able to bring their elderly loved ones to the center, where they would be looked after by professional staff. The center will provide nutritious meals, enjoyable activities, exercise, field trips, and social interaction for participating seniors. Transportation will also be available.
With significant changes in healthcare, including 19 New York nursing homes closing in the last five years, ChaseHealth's Social Adult Day Center is expected to be a welcomed addition for Chenango County community members, including Preferred Mutual employees. "Many of our employees can be referred to as the 'sandwich generation,' who have both children and aging parents to care for while remaining committed and passionate about what they do every day," said Christopher P. Taft, President and Chief Executive Officer at Preferred. "This contribution represents Preferred's continued commitment to supporting both the community and things that could be impacting our employee's lives."
