Preferred Mutual is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Sastra as Claims Care Manager, effective March 23, 2026.
In this role, Sarah is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Claims Care team, helping ensure responsive service and a positive experience for policyholders and agency partners.
Sarah joined Preferred Mutual in May 2024 as part of the Contact Center team, where she quickly demonstrated strong capability and a commitment to professional growth. She later transitioned to the Claims Support team, where she developed expertise in the role and became a valued contributor to the team’s success.
Prior to joining Preferred Mutual, Sarah built a strong foundation in leadership and operations through her experience in public education and by managing a family-owned business for nearly 10 years. Through these roles, she developed skills in mentoring, communication, and team support that continue to shape her leadership approach.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Adolescent Education with a minor in Business Management from SUNY Cortland.
