PMIC scholarship opportunities are available for students who live in Otsego, Delaware, or Chenango Counties in NY, graduating from Unadilla Valley Central School, or a child of a non-officer Preferred Mutual employee.

Since 1992, Preferred Mutual has provided scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to their communities in Otsego, Delaware, and Chenango Counties. Preferred Mutual Insurance Company is proud to announce its 2026 scholarship recipients for:
  • Preferred Foundation Scholarship
  • Irad and Jan Ingraham / James Honeywell Memorial Scholarship

Preferred Foundation Scholarship Winner

Leah Figary of Sidney High School
Leah will study Chemistry at Binghamton University, with plans to transfer to Cornell University in Fall 2027.



Preferred Foundation Scholarship Winner

Sophia Zheng of Norwich High School
Sophia will study Pre-Pharmacy at Binghamton University.

 

The Irad and Jan Ingraham/James Honeywell Memorial Scholarship Winner

Myriah Taylor of Unadilla Valley Central School
Myriah will attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to study Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Braden Golliver of Unadilla Valley Central School
Braden will attend Rochester Institute of Technology to study Civil Engineering.
